The Department is member of the AM/FM-GIS international organisation, and registered centre of the AM/FM-GIS Hungary Society.

In inter-university teaching the Department is the leader of the second diploma granting estate agents' formation mutually organized by the Technical University of Budapest, the University of Economics in Budapest and the Nottingham Trent University.

In the frame of teaching outside the university, the lecturers of the Department take part in the formation of production engineers organized by EFE FFFK (Székesfehérvár), in the formation of GIS-technicians taking place in Neumann János technical computing school and in the estate agency courses organized by the governmental supreme council.

Common research project in deformation analysis with the Institute of Geodesy of the TU of Karlsruhe;

Cooperation with the Faculty of Surveying of TU Graz in teaching and researching;

Cooperation with five Central European universities in TEMPUS project on the field of Land Information Systems (LIS).
